It is more like a long short story...
Read it last night in like 2 1/2 hours. Really have no idea how this translates into a movie. The story is focused on the seculsion of the main character while the whole world is full of vampires. He sits in his house through the entire book and ventures out only during the day.
I'm sure they will pump up the action but it will be very un-Hollywood if they actually develop the intense isolation and his overcoming desire to rape a female vampire (actual sub-plot).
Very good though...

it is bad when the book cover is better then the movie poster. They have the most expensive scene ever shot in the movie, because the had to shut down the Brooklyn bridge or something.
What made you want to read it - the movie? Just curious
Is somebody going to tell Court that the character's name is Frito Bendejo? Why did he use a P??
I read it mainly because the movie coming out looked cool... and then I found out it was written in the 1950's and I knew it wasn't a Hollywood script into book creation, so I felt much more confident it might be good. Seriously a quick read less than 200 pages.
Did you happen to catch the trailer on TNT during the basketball games last night? I am sure you have already caught it on the web, but it looked very good. I hope Will Smith can tone it down enough to "fit" in this kind of movie.
You should know I dont watch regular season basketball.
I have seen the trailer though, and they seem to emphasize his loneliness... I would love to see Will Smith become sexually frustrated over some vampires.
